My library stacked this as horror, it was definitely not as scary or thrilling as I expected. The first 150 pages or so were a bit boring in my opinion. I pictured this as a creepy version of Titanic, but it wasn't. It was a lot of backstory, uninteresting conversations and people complaining. The last 70 pages or so were very interesting, but basically a whole other book/new story.
