Heart2Heart Anthology by Leslie Copeland

3.0

2/5 The Magician and the Mortician (really not my cup of tea, 2, because I've read worse)
2/5 The Professional Gamer and the Paranormal Photographer (also, not my cup of tea, 2, because I've read worse)
Beginning 4/5 end 2.5/5 The Assassin and the Dog Walker (really snarky, comedic beginning that just turned into a puddle of soapy goo at the end)
4/5 The Criminal and the Sommelier (nicely crafted, felt like going lover, but nicely done for such an unorthodox match)
4/5 The Superhero and the NSA Agent (well written, not even that mismatched)
4/5 The Tattoo artist and the Writer (best friends who love each other already, it was gonna be a win for me anyway, I just don't like meet cutes all that much)
4/5 The Uber driver and the Phone Sex Operator (title should have been
Spoiler Dancer and the Director
, but that wouldn't seem as mis-matchy, right? But it's my title that fits characters better, so they fit)
4/5 The Baker and the SEAL (hmm,
Spoilerex-SEAL
if we're being honest.. they fit together, dialogue was interesting, beginning better than the end)
3/5 The Event Planner and the Electrician (loved the
Spoilerbruises
, fabulous not-a-meet-cute, but it lay flat at the end)
3/5 The Lawyer and the Lobsterman (it felt like it didn't have an ending, really grated against the grain with all the other stories, stood out in the worst way possible)
3/5 The Florist and the Lawyer (was ok, but a bit too much emotion and angst for such a little story, issues were glossed over instead of resolved, neede a longer story for that, now seemed like lazy writing)

First/Last - The Set Up/The Fallout 3/5 (more of a non story where I got annoyed with the whole anthology)

Score (just plain math, on average): 3.60/5, mathematically, you're supposed to round up, this is the reason why I couldn't:

"-1" for not connecting all the stories, first some couples have a dinner spending limit, for some it's no limit, super expensive restaurant, for some they're probably the only people in the town, so they're a match, and not even that unlikely, and then, some sign up knowing about the dinner, when in the end it's only for the first day glitches and mismatches, such a good thought really ruined by the explanation in the end (it would be better not to have such a beginning and end if it's so badly executed)
