Genuinely such a beautiful book that covers such interesting and diverse topics. African mythology and history, plus mermaids?! Yes please!! So so well written, so emotional and tense and adorable. I NEED that second book, I'm so invested in Kola and Simi, I need to know where they go and how Simi carries on her life after such an intense ending to the first book!!
