Winter by Marissa Meyer
5.0
This was probably one of the best books I’ve ever read. I loved the earlier books in the series, but they didn’t compare to this one.
Marissa Meyer manages to write an 800 page book that doesn’t feel like 800 pages. All of the characters are unique and realistically written, with flaws and talents that made me fall in love with each one.
I loved the fairytale aspects and how the characters didn’t seem to come out of character even as the plot thickened and took some unexpected turns.
Obvious, it wasn’t perfect and it might have been better if this book was split in two in order to flesh out the action a bit more but I couldn’t put it down.
