hopeful informative slow-paced

An excellent first step towards mutual respect. I appreciated the way the author repeatedly reminded the reader that disabled folks are far from a monolith. Likewise, her repeated reminders that perfection is not expected and people, including herself, will mess up and say/do ableist things but accountability, growing, learning, doing better, and accepting that yiu'e done wrong are more important than doggedly pursuing perfection.

This book seemed generally to be aimed at able-bodied folks, a gentle primer for a deeper dive and further reflection.
