"Strange Sally Diamond" by Liz Nugent - 3.5/5
Okay, so I have mixed feelings about this one. The premise hooked me right away—Sally is such a unique and intriguing character, and her story had so much potential. The writing is solid, and Nugent does a great job of getting into Sally’s head. But honestly, a lot of the plot felt predictable. I kept waiting for a twist that would blow me away, but most of the time, I could see where it was headed.
That said, the ending? Definitely my favorite part. It was heartwarming, left me with a small. If you’re into character-driven stories with a dark edge, it’s worth the read—just don’t expect a ton of surprises along the way!
