3.5 stars, but it didn't feel right to round up to 4. This was a fun read, don't get me wrong! I was down to clown with the stupid enemies to lovers forced relationship nonsense. I also really liked the magic system and the idea that all magic had a price, though that rule didn't seem to apply to magic users that weren't the main character. I was pretty let down by the end of the book. The climax didn't hit me very hard, and I wish that Reid and Lou's love had been shown through an action rather than a speech at the end. I think that using the framework of them being married lends itself to a quieter/more domestic love language, or at least quieter than "here's all the reasons I love you spoken out loud in blunt terms."
