SPOILERS AHOY
Had all the makings of a 4-5 star read, but it goes off the rails about halfway through and never really makes it back. There's a totally legit plot reason for this and the story resolves in as satisfying as it can given the circumstances, but that still doesn't excuse the rambling, disjointed mess which got us to that spot. RC Bray as a reader does what he can with the material, but honestly I didn't find myself rooting for any of the characters. A good concept that just sort of settles into an okay listen.
