The Diary of a Young Girl
by Anne Frank
It feels kinda weird to think about rating someone's life story...
This book was very surprising in the sense that I wasn't at all expecting to be able to relate to these characters, and yet so many experiences and emotions that Anne felt were so similar to what I had experienced myself when younger (obviously not the WW2 part). This similarity made the war seem ever more horrible, just knowing that it was ordinary people who were killed and hurt, it honestly really struck me how this really could just happen, not only at any time, but also to anyone.
