Grant Morrison and Jae Lee give the Fantastic Four the Marvel Knights treatment and while the story is well told and the art is deliciously moody this type of darker tale doesn’t mesh as well with my view of the Fantastic Four despite it being a completely valid take that could easily be seen as a modern evolution of the monster comics of the late 50’s/early 60’s that predated the Marvel era.
