YA dystopia at its finest.
I absolutely loved this novel back when I first read it in college and still very much enjoy rereading it.
Even when my younger self didn't have the words to describe it, I always appreciated this book for its condemnation of state violence and oppression, and its critiques of a society built on and sustained by capitalist and imperialist structures.
For example, the exploitation of workers in the districts for the benefit of the Capitol's wealthy and out-of-touch elite.
