Her Greatest Mistake by Hannah Cowan
3.0
“Her Greatest Mistake” is a second chance friends-to-lovers hockey romance. Braxton and Maddox were each other’s person even as kids, but conflict separated them just as they were making the transition into adulthood. Now, a fake relationship has these two spending a lot of time together for PR purposes.
This book has a likable cast of characters, and I was pleasantly surprised by the relatively low level of angst for this second chance romance, especially given its flashbacks. The transition from fake to real seemed a bit rushed, but perhaps that’s because these two were so tight for so much of their lives.
While this is the first book in the Greatest Love series, it became obvious while reading the story that this is a second generation romance. I might have enjoyed it more had I read these series in order.
