This review is coming from a reader who hasn’t been acquainted with The Eternals, its concept, characters and plot. I just chose to read this after enjoying Gaiman’s “Marvels 1602,” his medieval rendering of the heroes. It is probably the characters in this book that I did not find compelling.
The plot is stilted and unbelievable (I mean, you know, for a fantasy fiction). I was impressed by the concept and imagination though, but that it took me more than a month to finish this means I wasn’t looking forward to keep on turning the page or picking it up.
