I just finished the book and I was blown away. Originally, I was going to skip this task and I had gone to the library to get another book, but they were out of it and a few books down was [b:Madame Tussaud: A Novel of the French Revolution|8689913|Madame Tussaud A Novel of the French Revolution|Michelle Moran|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1296084523s/8689913.jpg|13562354]. I picked it up and flipped through it. I thought it looked interesting. I figured that I would give it a try and if I didn't like it, I could just stop reading it.

Well, I am really glad that I picked it up. I absolutely loved it. I had never thought about who Madame Tussaud was before and now I just want to know more. The same goes for the French Revolution and Marie Antoinette.

I felt that Moran did a wonderful job showing all of the sides of the story, not just the side "the commoners" or of "the royals" and how everyone played a part in these atrocities. And she made me feel compassion for the royals. I loved how that they were described as being extravagant, but as real people...that even when they tried to economize the people weren't happy. There is nothing that they could have done to make the people happy.

I was a little disappointed in the ending, but its history and that can't be changed. I just wish that history would have been different for her.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I am so glad that I read it.
