A little slice of camp and witty writing this was definitely a fun read.
Bassette uses some really fun and imaginative wordplay throughout the different acts which adds a certain flair to style. On the surface a tale about an extremely unhealthy mother-daughter bond yet were intentionally kept in a state of confusion about age, setting and intention that really helps add a sinister tone to the book that I found had me lapping up the pages for more.
Charlotte’s character was really quite something special and I found myself racing through her rants wanting more and more, the absolute unhinged sass dripping off the page.
