The Light Between Oceans
by M.L. Stedman
I wanted to give this book 3 stars because I didn't love it. Overall, it was simply much too heartbreaking. I don't need all unicorns and rainbows, but there is such a thing as too much sadness.
However, I bumped it up to 4 stars because of the discussion on forgiveness. Truer words have never been spoken: “I can forgive and forget... it is so much less exhausting. You only have to forgive once. To resent, you have to do it all day, every day. You have to keep remembering all the bad things.”
