Very graphic in both the sexual and violent ways, and in sexual violence. Not for the faint of heart.
I liked the world building, though. The magic and the relationship of people to their tribes and to their kingdoms was interesting. And the very open queerness is not something a lot of other fantasy books have. But you have to have a strong stomach because people get hurt in graphic ways. Love the witches and also the anti-witch people.
I’ve listened to the audiobook, which was maybe a mistake because the book jumps around a bit and I would get lost in it.
