I don't know how Ilona Andrews keeps me hooked onto a book series for 8+ books, but now I'm eagerly waiting for book 9.
I think we can skip over how awesome and amazing Kate is, because if you're on Magic Shifts, you should know. I absolutely love how strong yet vulnerable and breakable Kate is. I love how she's a strong female, but it's also exciting when her knight in shining armor gets to save her.
The action is incredible, I love how detailed Andrews gets in her action scenes. She references techniques that I have never heard of but love because it makes Kate all the more fancy and badass. I just love Andrews in general and how she takes on different mythos in her books. It was exciting for her to touch on this one and I can't wait to see what will happen in book 9. I'm already salivating.
