yyc 's review for:
Death of a Salesman
by Arthur Miller
Was a bit confused in the very first ‘illusion’ part but oh it was so wonderful when I started becoming more familiar with what was going on. I definitely don’t read classics very often, so some language wasn’t super easy to understand, but most of it was pretty clear.
I did not like Willy as a character, but he was incredibly complex and seemed like a poor patriarchal figure with some unresolved trauma or inner conflict. Felt extremely bad for Linda. I’m not sure why I thought this book was about to turn into a horror after the introduction of ‘The Woman’.
3.5 rounded down, originally gave 4.5 rounded up but after sitting on it for a while, feel like i didn’t actually enjoy it that much. definitely liked it enough and had a perfectly nice time with it, but not enough for 4.5 in my opinion. plot twist kind of insane though
