Thanks to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this.
When the body of a former detective is found in an abandoned car, it’s clear that someone with an axe to grind has taken action. The detective’s daughter is missing and it seems that it could be linked to a former case.
Before long those investigating the case seem to be being targeted. Prints are found at a crime scene, and shots are fired during the course of the investigation. Someone is keen for them not to find answers.
Though there was the basis of a good plot here, there was a bit too much going on. We were given little information to explain some of the events and it seems that some of the acts described would have been picked up. Entertaining, if somewhat far-fetched.
