Talk about longing , and yearning!!! Daniel and Nicole take the damn cake. Two people who have wanted each other since that first moment as kids but were too stubborn or scared or prideful to actually admit it. Then life gets in the way and tragedy happens and more and more things build up to where they struggled to fit the pieces together of who they were, who they are and what they want.
I really really enjoyed this book. I appreciated the way she wrote about Daniel’s ED, it was a different take and one that could easily be overlooked because of not only how he deals with it but also because he’s a guy. The sexual assault was handled - I think- carefully and respectfully. All around this book deals with tough topics but it’s down tastefully.
I know I will read them again. They literally had me crying and screaming and frustrated BECAUSE OF THE MISCOMMUNICATION!!! But in the end it was really beautiful how long they’ve loved each other before they even really knew what love meant. And as always it’s so fun to see the other RES characters.
10/10 I will be reading this again!
