Icebreaker
by A.L. Graziadei
I just finished this book and I LOVED IT. I love that this book was not dragged on for longer than needed - the pacing was perfect, and I loved all the characters. I do not have experience with depression, but I really liked the way this book incorporated his mental illness because Graziadei didn't reduce the characters to just their mental illness. All four of the main storylines in the book - Mickey's mental health, his struggles with his family, hockey, and his relationship with Jaysen - were perfectly balanced and blended together. I read this book in less than 24 hours, and I thought it was a really nice little read that definitely had amazing depth of emotion and chemistry between all the characters.
