I'm so frustrated because I feel bamboozled by this book! The first half of the book, I was fairly invested. I was eager to find out the 'truth' of what happened and solve the mysteries. However, they mysteries are ALL solved within the last 50 pages, and not only where they unsatisfying, but I'm just confused at the author's decision. Perhaps more worrisome was the author's decision to use issues of race and racial tension. I think it was present primarily for a shock factor, and I don't think it was done well at all.
