The Shadow of the Wind
by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
This book has been on my tbr since 2017, and is a book I've carried around with me through various moves, dorms, apartments, etc. I finally said "you know what? it's been long enough. I need to finally read this."
I really enjoyed the immersiveness of this story; it makes me want to travel to Barcelona and retrace the footsteps of the characters. The story slowly built up to an explosive and cinematic ending, with twists and turns I did not see coming. I plan on picking up the next book in the series, hopefully sometime this year.
