Daughter of No Worlds
by Carissa Broadbent
I wanted to love this one. I really wanted to love this one.
I went into Daughter of No Worlds with high expectations — and while it definitely had strong moments, it didn’t quite deliver that 5-star read I was hoping for.
I can see why so many fantasy lovers are drawn to this series, but I found the pacing uneven. There were stretches of the book that dragged, with scenes and internal monologues that felt like filler more than forward motion. Some sections were beautifully written but could have easily been trimmed without losing anything essential to the plot or character development.
That said, the ending was strong and definitely left me eager to pick up the second book. It delivered a satisfying payoff and hinted at exciting developments ahead.
