Queen of Song and Souls by C.L. Wilson

2.0

I really wish this series had ended after three books. The first three I read one right after the other. I couldn't put the first two down. During and after the third, it begins to feel like the story is being dragged along to keep readers hooked, without very much resolution to the plot. There are so many twists and turns that it gets old. It reads like a quick-read but continues like an epic fantasy.

Definitely a guilty pleasure, and I'm sure I'll read the fifth (and forthcoming, and second-thought?) book, because I want to find out the ending, and the fates of a few of the supporting characters especially, but my enjoyment of the story diminishes the more I read.
