Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous. She did things I've not read before in fantasy which I want to see more of.

actual realistic portrayal of a woman's experiences in pregnancy

She wasn't always kind to her characters -sometimes I was shocked - but that's what makes a better story right? Cause I just wanted to read more. Nuanced character development, just enough detail to the setting, an interesting statement on religion and spirituality without being heavy handed or leaving me feeling like I had dogma cramped down my throat, fantastic pacing through most of the book..... and now I have a book hangover.
