After the year I had with reading last year, I wanted to read something on the easier side. The Gateway has been on my list, and my oldest has been wanting me to read it. It definitely was exactly what I was looking for in the first book and the simplicity. The story grabbed me from the start and had me so interested in the life of Levens, Winter, Clover, and Geth. Their stories were separate until about 100 pages in. I love seeing how they all came together and what exactly they were going to do as information wasn't something readily available. Clover is my absolute favorite. He's witty and sarcastic and made the book so much better. My only complaint is how long it took to get to Foo and get the story rolling. It ended so quickly after getting to Foo, which made it hard to want to continue. I will be picking up the others. One because my son wants me to read them, and second, because I am enjoying the story.
