Good Poems by Garrison Keillor

dark emotional hopeful inspiring lighthearted reflective sad fast-paced

5.0

I received this book as a gift in college. I had read some of the poems, but I never got through the entire collection, until now.
In this book, Garrison Keillor has compiled an anthology of some of the best poems ever written. There are several chapters that organize the poems into different categories, like: failure, lovers, sons and daughters, and many more. Garrison Keillor writes an introduction that explores why he chose they poems he did, and why poetry is so important.
If you are looking to dip your feet into poetry, or you are looking for an anthology to expose yourself to a wide variety of poets, this book is incredibly done and has a collection of poetry that just may change your life.
