If you hate this book you stink. End of discussion.

This book is everything?? Fantasy, female characters that aren't grossly misogynist stereotypes or boring tropes, a setting that is African and feels it. I genuinely want the next book to come out now!! Right now!! Omg.!

The book doesn't go to hard or graphic into heavy topics [mentioned in the below content warnings] but I appreciate that. The focus is centered and keeps the plot going so it's not lingering into 'hey this is bad, get it?' you know?

The main character's growth was exciting to see, even if some decisions she made were dumb and confusing, but made sense within the context. I think this is a really interesting story of generational abuse and how one breaks out of such a cycle.
