Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution and How It Can Renew America by Thomas L. Friedman

5.0

I always appreciate Thomas Friedman's writing, and this book is no exception. The topic is one of critical attention, and he treats it with all the importance it deserves. I might have given less stars just for the length, yet I could think of nothing which should have been omitted or shortened; in every chapter I learned more and more. Mr. Friedman is rarely, if not uniquely, positioned to collect the best and most accurate data AND to have access to the people most significant to the topic.

I highly recommend this, not just to the choir, who already believe that climate change is a serious issues, but to those in the parish who sit near the back of the environmental church, not ready to commit to their belief, and especially to those doubters who refuse to come inside. The science behind his arguments is vast and irrefutable, and he delivers the sermon to be heard and understood by everyone.
