Outstanding. Heartbreaking overall, but not maudlin, and the humor doesn't feel misplaced or tone deaf. This was an incredibly clever book but still genuinely moving. I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to more from this author. I wouldn't even mind if those is her only trick, she did it that well.
