I’ll be honest. I only checked this out because it was the first audiobook in my library app that was available immediately, and even after I checked it out, I only started reading it (several days later, after having finished two different audiobooks) with a “well, I signed up for this. I guess I’ll give it a shot.” I really didn’t expect anything of this book.

This book is everything. Amazing narration, for starters, which is saying something because there are three narrators but they all are bringing their absolute A game here. (Which is fantastic because I’m about to get an audiobook that one of them narrates, and I’m super looking forward to it.) Angsty hurt/comfort with pining. Great worldbuilding. Fantastic, wonderful characters who each have their own personalities, but in ways that are reasonable for teens. At some point, I realized I was honestly very concerned about how this would all play out, and it was kind of only then that I realized how into this I was. The ending was great. Wrapped up just enough that it was very satisfying but left enough loose ends - both plot wise and character arc wise - that I’m super looking forward to the next book. (How long do I have to wait????)

Really, really wonderful. Just a lot of fun. I really can’t express how much I enjoyed this.
