Chasing Love by Kayla Tirrell
4.0
This was such a cute lighthearted read!
I love the inclusion of sport within a book and I felt it helped Nicole grow as a character, from professional wall flower to cross country runner. I personally loved Nicole's growth from beginning to end. I also connected with her straight away.
Now I'm a sucker for a good love triangle, especially when it's done well. I have to admit I had mixed feelings about this triangle between Nicole, Chase and Neal. I think it's because I picked the type of guy Neal was from the get go and he is your classic trashy teenage boy. Whereas, I loved Chase from the very first encounter between Chase and Nicole.
There were times I was reading going 'aww this is the cutest thing ever', 'I never want to stop reading'. Then there were times I wanted to shake some sense into Nicole and was in anguish due to her thoughts on good old Neal.
Chase and Nicole's friend Amy were probably my two favourite characters, and because of that I wish there was more of Amy throughout the book. Not saying that Amy wasn't in the book a lot, but I loved her character so much I just wanted more.
