Bone Crier's Dawn by Kathryn Purdie
2.0

I couldn’t finish this book. Sabine just seemed SO annoying for all that I read, 33%/ page 149), and Ailesse was so annoying. Pretty much all that she said was, “I should be matrone, not Sabine.”

Also, this book takes place DIRECTLY after Bone Crier’s Moon, so I was a little confused at first, because I read Bone Crier’s Moon back, like in late November 2020 or early December 2020. I forgot who Jules was, and I literally just remembered her relation to Bastien. I didn’t remember the Prince’s name, (hint: it’s Casimir). I forgot everything about Odiva, and so much more.

This book is just them talking about taking action, and not actually having any initiative. By in large, it just seems like a sequel was in order, (which I think it was), but this just seems rushed and also draggy at the same time. Honestly, if a sequel took longer to come out, but was better than this, then I’d give it a different rating.

DNF at page 149, and 2/5 stars.
