Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future
by Ashlee Vance
Elon is a jerk but it's necessary. He'll die at 50 because of overwork. He's not a nice person but he used to be. He thinks he's a good father and husband but his wife hesitates to say she loves him. Oh, and he selected her after requesting a VIP get together and basically he just persued her like a project. She might be the only person that understands him on a personal level.
Talulah Riley is the real MVP. She gets to have the empathy and heart that Elon had to discard when he decided to fulfill his potential.
No that's not right. This book names so many "real MVPs", so many. Guys who are happy to not have to carry the mantel of Steve Jobs, the expectations of a country, who would rather not fight Elon for control, or at least who fought him and lost, and now are sitting pretty even though they lost.
Some guys got recruited by Blue Origin, thereby improving their salaries and decreasing their stress level. Elon is not loyal. He has very few people he is candid with. He is a war general.
