Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction #1 by Inio Asano

Teenage existentialism is arguably overplayed, but rarely have I felt it expressed so honestly to the way I experienced it. These children suffer the changing of the world exactly how I remember being in high school during 9/11, with a shrugging indifference that would flare up into anger when you realized how it was being used as a cudgel by those in power. But mostly you're just worried about video games and what you're going to do after high school.

I'm worried future volumes will have a plot, I almost wish this volume existed all on its own forever in this space where these friends hang in the space between school days and worry about a hammer that seems fated to never actually fall upon the world. Bigh mood.
