What Have We Done by Alex Finlay

3.0

After DEVOURING The Night Shift last year, I seriously couldn’t wait for Finlay’s newest novel, What Have we Done. Let’s say, it did not disappoint. In fact, I read it in just about four days which is extremely fast for me ahah. I definitely would have finished it sooner if work and being an adult didn’t get in the way though.

I went into this book completely blind, like I didn’t even look at the synopsis when I requested an advanced copy because I just knew I was going to enjoy it and I DID. So I didn’t expect this to be the fast paced, heart pounding thriller that it turned out to be.

This story is about teens with a dark past, and it coming back to bite them as adults. Each has a secret and a new life but someone is out to get them and it all seems linked to when they were children in a group home. I think I enjoyed Jenna’s chapters the most, they were super fun and loved the action.

What have we done kind of has dual timelines and also multiple point of views to make one really rounded out story with stellar twists that I didn’t see coming and left me reeling. Although, the story was a TAD bit anticlimactic, I still had a ton of fun while reading it. Also i despise THE TWINS and their stupid personalities lol, you’ll see why if you decide to pick this up.

Overall, this book can be a bit much at times but if you’re looking for something fun and extremely action packed this is it.
