I chose to read this series because I needed some angsty romance and I waited this long because I didn’t want to compare it to FSOG.
But I found Christian Grey in the story are many instances.
Except for the car racing, I found many similarities like the rich guy, adopted with a harsh childhood and commitment issues; the lady who lacks self confidence and keeps wondering why he wants to be with her.
This being said I enjoyed it overall, and I definitely would have swooned more if I read it some few years ago.
I will continue with book 2, I heard it gets better :)
