There’s a lot going on in this book. Just a lot. It was a slog to get through with odd distracting stylistic choices, throwing hashtags and asterisks in all over the place.
The VR game everybody plays was my least favorite part. At one point a giant earth shattering thing happened and the two main protagonists reaction was to make sure they weren’t late for their gaming slot. This struck me as ridiculous and out of character for the Captain Planet super lawyer wannabe protagonist. Everything got more unbelievable from there.
