Oh goodness, how I adored this book. Shay was such a relatable character and I really connected with her. While I loved the romance between Shay and Dominic, I loved their individual growth even more. Shay learned her self worth and Dominic was so tender. Shay’s friendship with Ameena felt so real. Friendships are hard to navigate as adults, especially when you feel like everyone is so far ahead of you and that you’re just stuck. The commentary on grief and loss was also very well done and was handled with a lot of care.I struggled a bit with the pacing, but overall I really loved this book.
