Not quite as strong a premise as the first book in the series I still enjoyed reading this book and think it’s better on reread than I remembered.

The discussion of the changes romance brings to friendship is an interesting one although not handled with as much nuance as it could have been. Fun to see characters from the first book again in different roles with different attitudes and Sophie’s character is really dived into more. I finished the book and went straight on to the third in the series.
