Comet in Moominland
by Tove Jansson
Unread shelf project 2021: book 76.
Oh, this was such a fun little book! I’d heard of the Moomins from some of my European friends and finally got around to reading the first in the series (technically the second, but I guess the first listed on GR in the series is widely considered a prequel since it was before Jansson settled on a permanent graphic depiction for the Moomins).
So yes — this is definitely a children’s book but perfect for adults to read when anxious or stressed or feeling otherwise unwell. Such a sweet story. I love Sniff, he reminds me a little of Piglet, and Moomintroll reminds me a little of Winnie-the-Pooh, my two favorites from the Hundred Acre Wood.
