Just One Day
by Gayle Forman
Foreman's work continues to seem a bit overrated to me. This is a fine chronicle of one girl's first world problems, but too many characters are clearly plot mechanisms rather than people, and it's hard to ever fully engage with the "crisis" that occupies the second half of the book. That said, I dig a lot of her stylistic and narrative choices.
