Robin Hobb is a master. Her characters, her world are all impeccable.

She makes this epic fantasy so easy to read and the characters so beautifully flawed and in some cases relatable.

Kyle has definitely moved to my most hated character of all time, and I’m hoping that his nose gets rubbed in all his wrong doings before the end.

The family dynamic in this one is everything and we have a very interesting perspective from multiple generations of mother, daughter granddaughter especially.

Watching all the characters grow and change is probably my favourite thing, I have to remind myself that Malta is a child as much as she doesn’t want to be one, I believe every kid goes through that selfish materialistic stage as they navigate the world and grow up but boy do I just want to shake the girl!

Althea and Brashen are amazing, I love them so much as well as Paragon! I can’t wait to see what happens to everyone in the next book.
