What a book š so let me give this a proper review
First of all for any of you who want to read it please check the trigger warning ā ļø
( thereās is graphic sec scenes, sexual assault, abusive parent and relative, abuse)
I loved this book and itās my favorite (at the same level as ACOMAF)
I loved Nesta in the previous book so I was so happy to learn more about her and dive in her perspective.
She is such and interesting and intriguing character. She has so much later than just āthe mean sisterā and I loved reading about it.
The way she dealt with her trauma is extremely realistic and her character development is well written. Her healing journey is awesome and I loved to see that she didnāt healed because of a man but she healed because she work through her trauma and dealt with her guilt and bad habit. I was so scared at first that she was going to be just a girl in love but no she is a strong independent woman who can achieve everything she set her mind to.
Her friendship with Gwyn and Emerie is just the best. The trio is so wholesome and I loved them so much. The Valkyrie plot is so interesting I want to see more of it in the next book (maybe ?)
Her relationship with Cassian is really adorable and respectfull even tho they can be stubborn. I loved seeing that Cassian knew when and how to behave to put Nesta at ease but in the same time didnāt hesitate to say when Nesta was crossing boundaries.
On the other hand there is something I didnāt like about this book. SPOILERS AHEAD.
I was so into the Valkyries plot and the blood rite so I was really sad when I understood that even tho Gwyn and Emerie won Nesta didnāt. I love their sisterhood and wanted them to win together. But I have to be honest Nesta staying back and protecting them was logical and a really Nesta thing to do.
But what bother me the most is the pet with Briarlyn. The end was rushed so much. It was too easy and all happened too fast. I wished there was more details more
Combat maybe ? Something more to the final battle against the evil human queen.
Instead the last 30 pages were all about Feyre and her baby. Which is okay because it was also about Nesta and Feyre relationship and the following of Nestaās healing but still.
This book was about Nesta and her journey but at the end it came back to Feyre so I was a bit disappointed.
I canāt wait for the next book. I figured that they will be a next book since all of the problem arenāt done with.
I might guess that the next book will be Mor POV or at least it will explain her story more. I missed her in this book.
But maybe it will be about Elain and Lucien/Azriel.
Canāt wait to know more and keep speculating š¤
