Overall this was a great read. The pacing was good for me once I got through the first few chapters. I found both characters to be equally enjoyable and found myself laughing out loud or flipping back the page to re-read again.  I’ve read a few of the author’s previous books and enjoyed this standalone for what it provided. The slow burn was worth the wait, I enjoyed the MMC immensely and found my heart melting for some tender moments. I think the connection between the FMC & MMC was definitely special, humorous, and fitting for the title of this book.
