The Sanatorium by Sarah Pearse
5.0
A thriller you don’t want to miss, especially if you love locked room thrilllers!
A Tuberculosis Sanatorium that is high in the mountains has been recently transformed into a luxury hotel. One of the staff directors is hosting her engagement party their to celebrate!
However, the bride to be goes missing and then a dead body is found in the pool. This was no accidental drowning, the body was weighted down with sand bags and had a creepy looking gas mask of some sort on her face.
The police are notified, however; there is an avalanche coming and no one is able to come to their rescue. It is up to the husband to be, sister, whom is an on break detective, that has to figure out the puzzle.
Soon another body is found and they realize they have a serial killer in their presence. Can they figure out who is committing these ghastly murders in time?
My take: This would have been a 5 star all the way because y’all the epilogue is EVERYTHING!! The only reason I knocked off half a star was because it took me a quarter into the book before I could figure out who all the characters were and how they connected.
A must read and I highly recommend!!
