Okay, I think Brittainy C. Cherry's writing is just not for me. I dnfed one of her books in spring and wanted to give her a second chance, seeing as Loving Mr. Daniels is hyped on German booktube.
But I can't stand her writing style. The characters speak in unrealistic ways, littering their sentences with metaphors and paragraph after paragraph of over-dramatic monologues. I was constantly cringing, instead of feeling any kind of love.
Contentwise, Ms. Cherry was a little heavy on the deaths. One or two deaths that affect a character in the book is fine but any more than that and I have the feeling that it's more about making the reader sad than adding anything to the story.
The entire book felt like Ms. Cherry was trying to outdo Colleen Hoover and Slammed.
