Stay Sexy & Don't Get Murdered: The Definitive How-To Guide by Georgia Hardstark, Karen Kilgariff

This is probably a fantastic, validating read for fans of the podcast. As a "civilian", it is a good book but you're not *quite* in on the story of the authors' success. That said, for the last chapter alone it is worth four stars-- timing is everything and I read this just as this particular news story broke: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/02/nyregion/judge-james-troiano-rape.html?searchResultPosition=1 The authors give one of the most robust rebukes to the victim-blaming that underpins rape culture in the U.S. but they also give a path forward for those who might be genuinely in error. The famous true crime podcasters saw the error of their ways and used their powers for good-- and that is a happy ending in a category they're rarely found.
